There was not any information in the contract or job jacket stating your project was contingent on HOA approval and we were unaware an HOA approval was even needed. We have the legal right to retain the entire down payment if the project is cancelled more than 3 days after the contract is signed.

We did not do that. The $850 is towards monies directly related to our expenses, your property had been measured and we were gathering all the information needed for the permitting process and for CAD.

Proceed with Caution - They have no problem stealing your money

I signed a contract to have a patio enclosure installed. They only give you 3 days to cancel or else they have stated that they can keep the full deposit.

In my case my deposit was 9, 400.00. After having contractors to the home to do the work that needs to be done before the enclosure can be put up - it was discovered that I have about 50,000 in repairs before moving forward with the enclosure. I am not able to afford all of these repairs and the enclosure and asked to be released. They filed a permit, and rendered a CAD drawing and are insisting on keeping 9, 400.00 deposit.

So - 9,400.00 for a CAD Drawing that I cannot even use.

This has been a TERRIBLE experience, and the customer service is not at all friendly or willing to work with me at all. This is theft.

You were provided with up to three business days to cancel your contract and receive a full refund, but you failed to do so. While we understand that you may be frustrated by the discovery of these pre-existing issues, such as broken septic tank lines, our contract is still valid.

It is important for you to consider the contract terms and remember that we are outside the cancellation period for your project despite these home issues.

No follow up from Stanek Windows or Great Day Improvements. Not once.

I am delivering a demand letter for full refund or we have been advised to file suit.

Terrible company. Terrible customer service.

Since we had windows improperly installed and some with bad hardware over two years ago, we still cannot get follow up or follow through. After my latest bad review and complaint, I received a message from Wendy who "apologized" and said we would get contacted right away to get things fixed. Crickets. Her message was on 12/27 after taking a few days to respond to my complaint on 12/22/22. Today is 1/13/23 and we have not heard from anyone. I'm sure it is an oversight and they are on Christmas break. It is even better to know after multiple messages, not one senior management person has the "ability" to make a call to at least try to apologize. At most places I have worked through the years, that would be a fire-able offense. We will start having other companies come in to quote ripping out the unfixed windows and have them replaced. Please confirm how you will be paying for this replacement work. Chuck R.

We just moved into a new house and contracted with Great Day Improvements for a patio enclosure. Something happened with the sales agent and our original paperwork resulting in it being delayed. The company said HOA was the issue but when they finally requested from the HOA, it was determined that no approval was required. Now I am stuck with trying to determine what to do. The company does not communicate well. Emails not being returned. The company silence indicates to me that something is not well and we will not get our patio enclosure. BTW, My wife and I are 71 yrs and I am a USN Veteran. This is all very disconcerting to me.

Unfair & Deceptive. My HOA didn't give me approval and Great Day Improvements is now trying to charge me $800 for their 20-min measuring session even though their salesperson assured me that I would have no fees/charges if the HOA approval didn't go through! As I have tried to fight this with them, the follow-up has been miserable and appears they have quite a turnover problem as 2 different people that were originally assisting me with the cancellation are no longer there. \\

Be ready to manage your own project for $300-350 per sq ft. They dont return calls, you spend all your time trying to find out when the next subcontractor is coming. They will not commit to anything but want all of your money up front before they ever even begin the work. I dont recommend this company to anyone.

Preferred solution: I want them to get aggressive and manage their project. They just take orders and leave the project to the wind and whim of the subcontractors and NEVER communicate next steps or dates until you hound them to death.

Company will not return my Deposit - Company is a Scam

I give a zero to this company. I was excited about having my deck enclosed. I provided over an $8,000 deposit. After final measurement, I was told the deck was not straight and would need this to be done. Unfortunately, it is not the deck that wasn't straight but the concrete below the deck. This was told to me three weeks after the measurements. At that point, it was an impossible job to be done. I requested a release and my Deposit back. It is two months now, and they are holding my deposit hostage until I sign a release for $500.00. I asked several times for a breakdown on what the $500.00 is for, and all I get is measurement and administrative fee. I am the customer and should be forwarded a breakdown, so I know why they are asking for this money. They state it is in the contract, but nothing relates to this. Calls are never returned, emails are never answered. This company is a scam and do not use them. They quoted me one price and when I agreed and the contract was prepared, the price increased by thousands of dollars. When asked why the increase, I was told that I had wanted things different that cost more. Since I really was excited about getting this project done, I agreed. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!

Missed appoinments

I bought a sun room from Great Day in 2021 and have had nothing but issues missing parts discontinued items that they didn't know about till I checked with them that they were discontinued parts. IDo not find this company totally inept. And all the no shows are just bad management. I have given them almost all the $ for the project, and they have not even finished building the sunroom only the roof and floor are there. They have no real worker people on their books they have 3rd. Party do all the installs when they actually show which is my biggest issue now, like when the *** are they going to finish my project. I would not recommend this company to anyone, this company is incompetent!

Scam or incompetence?

On 6/1/22, I paid over $23k for a patio enclosure. It is 8/5/22, and I have spent weeks trying to run down what happened to the project. Someone came out 3 times to measure, but no materials have been ordered and no work has been done. I am getting no response or a run-around when I reach out by phone, email, text, and chatbot. Unbelievable!

Well I ordered my patio in April, the 21st of 2022. Wasnt supposed to be here until mid June, got an email saying it was ready May 23rd. Two men came out get started ran out of materials said they would be back on Tuesday May 31st. Havent heard a word tried calling only got voicemail so I called 4-5xs tried putting in every button that I could until someone answered, I talked to a girl named Tina, she was very RUDE, kept interrupting me and I couldnt finish one complaint. There is too raw material on my roof that the birds are pecking away at and materials on the ground and still havent heard from anyone!! Im going to have them take it all down get my money back because its incomplete and go to a company thats more professional!! TERRIBLE COMPLETELY TERRIBLE!!! I would have given them a zero if it let me!!

this company makes alot of promises but falls short on keeping them.measurements were taken and project was slated to start late march and it did but wasnt complete. a job that was supposed to take a week is now in its 7th week. calls to their so called contractor are brushed off with maybe we will be out next week. calls to the office and iam told we will get right back to you and then your ghosted no response back.

Well the company contacted me the same day under the apparent guise of other reason. Nevertheless it did help to expedite and finally get it resolved. It was completed on Dec 27th something that suppose to have been done in August!

First of all I don't like leaving negative reviews but this company has tested limits of my patience. I went through the ordering process back in end of May of 2021 and was promised it will be delivered by August. Despite the long delay I went with them due to their professionalism. Now it's December and have absolutely nothing to show for. I wanted the patio netting done to enjoy the outdoors and didn't mind the high cost for the enjoyment it would bring. Now I have already paid more than half of the cost as per their billing policy and stuck with them and at their mercy as I can't even go with other companies unless I decide to forgo the > 5k that I have already invested. Not sure what kind of business philosophy they have or any concept of contractual obligations, I would not recommend this company if you expect to see your project done in any reasonable amount of time.

Contracted with Patio Enclosures (AKA Great Day). That should have been the first clue. They wrote up my contract in June and collected $15,000.00. Then it was several months before we heard from them again. They finally came and started the job and then nothing for another month, collecting another $15,000. It is now November and they only have part of the frame up. They are a scam, writing contracts and collecting down payments in order to stay afloat. If you know what's good for you, you'll search out another company because Great Day is the worst I've seen in a long time. I'm not paying another dime until they finish my room. Now I know why they encouraged me to do 1 year same as cash. They can pull from the finance company.

moOverall, I love my three season porch. Patio Enclosures installed it about 20 years ago and we have never had a problem until now. Back in June I was quoted a price to change the wheels on one of the sliders. We also needed a total new screen as the frame was not sliding correctly. The wheels were installed, however almost five months later and I'm still waiting for the screen. I have made many calls, left messages, but have not received an answer on my screen. We had thought about upgrading the glass to double pane, but this experience is holding us back from doing this. I'm so disappointed in this company. Mary Hogan Falmouth, MA

Yup, similar scenario here. Product comes damaged from their factory, amateur install team, half way through the install they tell me they don't have everything...I've been waiting over 2 months now for them to wrap up this project. Non-existent customer service, all calls go to voicemail, they don't answer messages or emails. And with all that, they're expensive! Just terrible all around.
